AREAS OF PRACTICE
Mr Rigby appears regularly in Employment Tribunals throughout the United Kingdom and on appeal from those Tribunals. He also has a busy practice in the County Court, High Court and again on appeal from those Courts.
EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
He has many years experience of unfair dismissal claims, redundancy, sexual and racial discrimination and equal pay claims in the Tribunals.
CONTRACT
He likewise has extensive experience of wrongful dismissal claims, restraint of trade clauses, confidentiality clauses and other aspects of contracts of employment. He has a particular interest in the contracts of sportsmen and women.
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
He has for many years worked in the field of Industrial Relations eg; for the NGA and the NUJ in the long running dispute with Eddie Shah’s Messenger Newspapers.
EMPLOYMENT
He advises local authorities upon employment issues and acts for them and other public bodies and employees at disciplinary hearings and in subsequent Court and Tribunal cases. He acts for both employers, employees and their representatives.
