PROFILE

For 13 years he was a law academic (latterly of the University of Manchester), during which some of his scholarship was in the area of health and safety law, especially EU regulation. Stephen Hardy has lectured many health and safety practitioners, including IOSH. He has also advised HSE as a former special advisor to the UK Government (DTI).

PUBLICATIONS

He contributed to the health and safety chapters of Tolleys Employment Handbook (praised for his ‘dedication and verve’ in the field) from 2001–2006.
