PRACTICE

Sara Lewis has considerable experience in public law at all levels, acting for parents, guardians and local authority. 

Her experience includes cases involving non-accidental injury and those with complex psychiatric issues such as Factitious Illness. 

Prior to coming to the Bar, Miss Lewis was a neuropsychologist therefore has particular interest and expertise in matters involving complex medical evidence, mental health issues and learning difficulties. 

She regularly acts in Section 8, Children Act 1989 matters on behalf of parents, grandparents and children both in the County Court and High Court. 

Miss Lewis has extensive experience in all types of financial disputes – low, medium and high value. She is regularly instructed in cohabitation disputes and is happy to advise, settle pleadings and litigate as necessary.
 
Miss Lewis has also been instructed to draft Cohabitation Agreements, in particular on behalf of the Professional Footballers’ Association. 

Miss Lewis undertakes inquest work.
