Paul Gilroy QC conducts all forms of personal injury and employer’s liability work for both Claimants and Defendants.
He undertakes cases involving catastrophic injuries including severe brain damage and spinal injury, including cases involving children.
Paul Gilroy QC’s practice includes a substantial volume of industrial disease work, including industrial deafness and work-related upper limb disorder litigation. He has a good understanding of the medical issues arising from this genre of cases and enjoys a large paper practice.
He appeared at the Public Inquiry into the Personality Disorder Unit at Ashworth High Security Hospital, giving him further experience of dealing with cases involving cutting edge technology, high volumes of documents and high profile issues, and went on to appear on behalf of the bereaved families at the Shipman Inquiry.
In addition to his personal injury practice, Paul Gilroy QC practises in employment and commercial law. He contributes to professional publications, annotates legislation for Current Law Statutes and is a frequent speaker on topics of legal interest.
