PERSONAL INJURY PROFILE
Brian McCluggage has been consistently rated in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories since about 5 years call for personal injury work.
His personal injury practice comprises substantial multitrack work, much of which is worth six figure sums and more. He enjoys dealing with issues of law and is regularly instructed to advise on technical matters. This work is evenly split between claimants and defendants.
In recent years, Mr. McCluggage has developed a significant practice in defending allegedly fraudulent claims on behalf of most main insurers. He has expertise in advising and conducting signifi cant “fraud ring” litigation and has advised and acted in cases involving the torts of deceit and conspiracy.

- Conditions where credibility issues often feature, such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia.
- Catastrophic injury, including brain damage, blindness, and severe spinal injury.
- Insurance and technical issues within personal injury work, including MIB and RTA points, together with general insurance law on domestic, motor and commercial policies.
Mr. McCluggage has experience of appellate work in both personal injury and employment litigation and is regularly instructed on heavyweight interlocutory matters in substantial cases.
